IPSL are looking for a permanent Windows Analyst with high level technical expertise.

Hours & Location

The hours will be 35hrs Monday to Friday with some flexibility on start and finish times.

There is a requirement to be able to be part of an On-Call 24x7 rota, 1 week in every 4 weeks.

Initially, because of COVID, the role will be full time working from home, but this will change when it is safe to do so. When the COVID measures have been lifted the role will be based in the Northampton office and you must be prepared to travel daily into the office.

Overview

The Windows Analyst is required to provide technical support for the day to day activities within the Windows Infrastructure Team. Supporting long term stability, currency and discipline of Infrastructure Services across the iPSL estate. The role is heavily Windows focused with virtualisation as a core infrastructure platform.

Knowledge/Skills Required

An expert in VMware & Microsoft products is required along with a good working knowledge of Azure technologies, Horizon View & Load Balancing products.  The role supports a number of areas within the Windows Infrastructure team including Incident, Problem and Change Management, Project Activity ensuring KPI’s, deadlines, ensuring decisions are followed through and customer satisfaction. The ability to build relationships with our third party suppliers, iPSL technology teams and Project Managers is vital to the success of the role.

  1. Active Directory \ Server 2012\2016 Windows 7\10
  2. VMware Datacentre components Inc. VMware VDI infrastructure
  3. Microsoft SCCM \ SCOM
  4. Azure knowledge
  5. Scripting for automation – PowerShell
