A fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to join an exciting, dynamic team within Macquarie’s Financial Management Group.

You will play a key role as a Financial Advisor for the Macquarie Asset Management division in EMEA, accountable for the delivery of the Macquarie Asset Management EMEA Financial Control.

This encompasses the implementation of the financial control framework including overseeing Macquarie Asset Management’s Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, accountability for global key accounting judgements, managing entity reporting, implementing new transfer pricing arrangements and ensuring bookings are reflected under the correct accounting standards. 

You will have strong people management skills and a proven ability to manage and develop multiple team members and indirect reports in London, Munich and Luxembourg. In this role, you’ll also work  closely with a number of staff across various locations in the Financial Management Group supporting the Macquarie Asset Management global business. You will work with key stakeholders on a regular basis such as the CFO, heads of Financial Control for this business and Division heads as well as Financial Management Group team members across Tax and Group Treasury and external auditors.

You will have a University degree, coupled with a formal accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant or equivalent is preferred), with experience in a similar role, and the technical competency (IFRS/FRS101) to be able to deal with managed funds products. Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement skills, and control/ risk awareness will be required for you to be successful in this role.

You will also possess strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, a high level of accuracy with a right first-time approach and strong attention to detail with the ability to re-assess / re-engineer work processes.
