HR Administrator

We are seeking an exceptional HR and L&D Administrator to support the Head of People in delivering an efficient and effective HR function.

Our client is a charity established in 2013 to champion and support the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced administration professional to be part of an organisation that aims to make a real difference to children’s lives.

Position: HR and L&D Administrator

Location: London (SE1)

Salary: £25,427 - £26,765

Duration: 12 months fixed term contract

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours (net) per week

Closing date: 30th October 2020

Interview date: W/C 16th November 2020

About the role:

As HR and L&D Administrator you will provide effective support to the Head of People in delivering an efficient HR function, providing administration support and handling sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy. As well as supporting the delivery of learning and development activities across the charity.

Key responsibilities would include:

 

  • All the administration related to the recruitment process
  • Onboarding and Induction
  • Provide support for all Learning and Development activity
  • Assist the head of people in developing and implementing new projects
  • Carry out general administration tasks for the head of people, such as managing inbox’s, administering the charity’s HR system and assisting with the annual appraisal cycle.
  • Any other duties as required, in support of the wider finance and resources team

 

About you:

To be successful in the role of HR Administrator you will be well organised, efficient and purposeful, you will be mature in attitude, with an understanding when discretion and confidentiality is required. You will have a flexible attitude towards tasks, with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with colleagues at all levels.

Essential skills and experience include:

 

  • Experience of providing administrative support and an understanding of HR processes
  • Experience and interest in learning and development
  • A good level of formal education including GCSE Maths and English (grade 4 or above)
  • Excellent organisational skills including ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
  • Good standard of oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, skilled in using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook Word and Excel
  • A demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion
