Job Details

Nest is the National Employment Savings Trust. It was set up by the government to give every worker in the UK somewhere to save for retirement. We’ve since grown to become one of the UK’s largest schemes

Your new team

Nest outsources the delivery of services to its customers and in 2023, the current administration contract is coming to an end. Nest is engaged in a procurement exercise to put in place a new contract and solution. This presents an opportunity for Nest to make sure this new solution meets its future insight needs.

This role will sit in the new MI and Analytics department, reporting to the Director of MI and Analytics: a team of around 10 with responsibility for supporting data reporting and analysis activity across Nest.

However day-to-day, it will effectively be embedded within the programme responsible for working with our service provider to implement the new solution. There will be 70-80 colleagues working across the following broad functions:

  • Commercial management;
  • Delivery, implementation and transition;
  • Service design.

This role will work most closely with the Service Design team, which will be responsible for working with our service provider to make sure the designed and delivered service meets our users’ needs, including internal customers of our own data and insight.

Your new role

You will interpret and summarise actionable customer insight from a wide range of data sources including primary qualitative and quantitative research. You’ll use this to drive decisions and make sure we remain entirely focussed on our user and customer needs.

You will help us to make sure that we are designing services in a way which will support their ongoing evolution, by making sure that insight-gathering is at the heart of how our new services are designed and delivered.

You will also play a broader role in the Corporation and contribute to Nest becoming a truly customer-focussed, insight-led organisation.

You

You will be comfortable working as part of a team, but under your own initiative as you identify and solve problems. You will definitely have experience of data analysis and will know how to tackle complex data sets to test a hypothesis. Ideally, you will also have worked closely with design teams, perhaps with experience of applying design thinking or Human-Centred Design practices. You will have the ability to articulate complex information effectively at all levels.

You will also have experience of working with an outsourced delivery partner.

What you’ll need to succeed

This role sits at the heart of NEST, helping the organisation to navigate a complex, time-pressured and very visible service design programme. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of an organisation facing unprecedented challenges and will be stimulating and rewarding for the right candidate.

What you’ll get in return

This is a 2-year FTC with a Base salary up to £56,00 plus Benefits.

We are open to job shares & part time applicants also.

Everyone wants a good work life balance and you will be working with a truly flexible employer, fully embracing a working from home culture and flexible working hours.

You will have your birthday and Christmas Eve as an additional bonus to the already fantastic holiday allowance and of course…a generous pension contribution.

What you need to do now

Please complete your application on our website.  Please note that you must attach a Cover Letter explaining why you would be a good match for this role.

Company

NEST is a great UK success story.

Established in 2010, NEST is a critical pillar of the Government’s automatic enrolment programme, with a public service obligation (PSO) to accept any employer wishing to use the scheme to discharge their automatic enrolment duties.   From a standing start, we have delivered a high quality, low cost pension scheme open to all, which has not only delivered on its mission, but has also helped to drive up standards and best practice across the industry. Now with over 6 million members and well over half a million participating employers, NEST is playing a critical role in helping people save for their retirement - many of them low to moderate earners who may be saving for the first time, and moving jobs frequently.   NEST now occupies an important place in the pensions market and will deliver high quality pensions to mass market consumers for many years to come, leveraging its scale to deliver value through the combination of low costs, market leading investment solutions and modernised services all overseen by strong Trustee governance.
