One of many is seeking  a rockstar social media and marketing assistant to support our busy, demanding, and purposeful business. 

This will be a fun and challenging job for the right person – a social media native who loves to bring words and images together in a powerful way to impact lives. We’re looking for someone who has the right attitude, can write emotionally, and to structure.  You also love making things beautiful and captivating and are comfortable in Canva or similar.  And you understand all the social media platforms intimately- from hashtags to stories… you’re all over it.

As part of this role you will benefit from the direct training of an awesome marketing team to become a superstar marketer.

The role can be virtual.

The role is freelance based (15 hours a week to start, with opportunity for growth)

Rate is approx. £225 pw for the 15 hours, depending on fit, and experience.

In the West we are plagued by stress related illness and lifestyle disease, while the rest of the world fights poverty and hunger. Our natural resources are seriously threatened. At an individual level millions feel called to make a change, but feel powerless and apathetic because they are overwhelmed by the problems of their own daily life.

One of many provides inspiration, training, coaching and support to help grassroots women leaders called to solve these problems.  We assist them to handle the day to day, so they can unleash their spirit onto the changes they are feeling called to make.

WHAT WE NEED.

We see you as the person who will support our team in three key areas:

  • Social media assistant: you’ll work closely with the sales and marketing manager, and copywriter, to ensure accurate execution of our social media marketing plan
  • You’ll work with the marketing team to create the monthly social marketing plans.
  • You will take blog posts, videos and emails and turn them into social messages.  You’ll edit, lay them out in Canva where needed and upload everything to the relevant social channels.  You’ll keep our social presence it lively, on brand, on topic and refreshed at all times.
  • You’ll collect the data on our efforts and feedback to the team on what works so that we can continually be improving how we communicate to your clients.
  • Marketing assistant:  you’ll work closely with the marketing and client services team to write client communication emails and posts. You’ll be integral to helping our clients feel informed, excited and held every step of the way.

  • has perfect spelling and grammar (you take apostrophes in the wrong place as a personal affront) – having said that you know how to bend the rules to inject some personality if needed
  • is a natural story-teller, and knows that power comes from emotional writing, not hyperbole and exclamation marks
  • can write to a structure, and is gifted at saying more with fewer words
  • understands the application of a brand and knows when something looks right or wrong
  • is detailed oriented and can wrangle all the relevant social tools for accurate scheduling and maximum engagement
  • loves making beautiful designs and powerful mini-videos of transformation and sending them out into the world.
  • is ok with sometimes tight deadlines and can turn out an email in superquick time if necessary
  • is persistent.  If at first you don’t succeed you’ll damn well work at it until you do, and learn whatever you need to make it happen. You have an ability to figure things out and get things done.
  • has a background in journalism, blogging, or creative writing. Sales copywriting is an added bonus, but not essential.  We will train in this area.
  • manages your own energy well.  We’ll ask way too much of you, and will respect your boundaries when you say enough!

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable experience with digital marketing practices, including analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter.
  • Demonstrable experience of basic video and audio editing & file conversion
  • Graphic design experience with Canva or similar and building beautiful imagery
  • Experience proof-reading and ensuring perfection
  • Familiarity with tools such as: Facebook Creative Studio, Box, Google drive, the Teamwork suite (PM, desk and chat) and more that we don’t know about that will make our lives easier!.
