This role is situated within the Bexley 0-19 Children’s Public Health Service team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, self-driven, motivated practitioner who has the enthusiasm and passion to drive forward the infant feeding service and support staff to achieve UNICEF BFI stage 3 accreditation.
The post holder will work in partnership with the Locality Lead on the planning, implementation, maintenance and accreditation of UNICEF BFI standards across the service. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure that a co-ordinated approach to infant feeding support and management is adopted.
You will provide expert knowledge around infant feeding and will have the ability to facilitate learning for clinical and support staff.
The post holder works with the Locality Lead to support practice in relation to infant feeding and the post holder will have the ability to develop infant feeding initiatives/guidelines in response to local, regional and national guidance.
Audit and action planning experience is essential as you will be required to monitor and measure implementation of best practice standards for pregnant mothers, breastfeeding women and their infants.
The successful applicant must be driven by a passion to provide effective personalised care with a commitment to achieving a recognised national Accreditation across the service. You should be an enthusiastic health professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and empower others.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of the wider team are essential.

Salary is dependant on NHS experience and current banding/pay point, applicants from outside the NHS will receive the start point of the salary scale in line with NHS terms & conditions.
