Discovery operates on a worldwide basis to produce & acquire content from thousands of global partners, schedule hundreds of linear TV & online channels, and distribute content to hundreds of affiliates including cable TV, free-to-air broadcast, and online video providers such as Amazon and iTunes. 

Responsibilities

Based in our Chiswick, West London offices, you will be responsible for the content capture and live replay of the sports events produced from the London Technology Hub.  The facility comprises of Production and Sound Control Rooms, Commentary booths and Multi-Function Rooms which are operatorial 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

The key focus of this role will be to operate the LiveTouch Replay system during live sports events and build replay packages for immediate playback.   You will also ensure that all content is marked and tagged correctly for archiving or later edits. As part of the live gallery team your aim is to deliver the best visual and editorial content available.

Among others you will be responsible for:

• Working with the live gallery team to support the best replay possible, offering suggestions and options for on screen deliverables.
• Marking and tagging all content captured in the correct manner for quick retrieval and archive storage
• Delivering clear notes and documentation to other operators and the wider production teams

Requirements

• Experience in delivering fast speed replay packages during live broadcasts
• Working knowledge of industry standard replay hardware and software, with experience of LiveTouch desirable.
• Proven ability to successfully form and manage relationships with a production team and clients in an international environment
• Love for sports with an eye for what viewers would love to see.
