Starting from £15.55 per hour (GBP 32,357pa rising to GBP 33,327pa following successful completion of 6 months' probation) plus benefits

There is an opportunity for overtime and being placed on the call out rota.

L&Q are looking for a number of Customer Focused, high performing Carpenters with additional skills to be part of their in-house Maintenance Team. We have openings within our West Neighbourhood covering Slough, Hillingdon, Ealing and Hounslow plus surrounging London areas. The focus will be on high quality work, outstanding customer service and a right first time attitude. 

 

The role will be dealing with all aspects of internal/ external repairs including kitchen re-fits and repairing UPVC doors and windows. In addition to carpentry you will have associated skills and experience in plumbing, painting/decorating and a knowledge of groundworks.

 

Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment.  You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).

The Person

  • Working knowledge of a building and/or housing environment
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service (essential)
  • Relevant City and Guilds/NVQ qualifications (or qualified by experience)
  • Able to use a PDA and Smartphone
  • Full driving licence (essential)
  • Must have own hand tools (larger tools and specialist equipment will be arranged if needed)
