As the Regulatory Reporting Oversight Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of the regulatory reporting control framework. You will make sure that Metro Bank complies with all applicable regulations and protects our customers. You will play an integral role in helping to shape the Regulatory Reporting Oversight team within the Prudential Risk function.

 

So what would you be doing?...

 

• Understanding and communicating the regulatory reporting control framework across first and second lines of defence

• Performing second line oversight of regulatory reporting, including the internal processes and controls that are leveraged for regulatory reporting purposes

• Highlighting risks informally through regular interaction and formally in written reports for submission to committees

• Conveying industry best practice and regulatory expectations relating to regulatory reporting

• Reviewing plans to remediate weaknesses and incorporate business development

• Responding to regulatory developments within the first line regulatory reporting control framework and proposing amendments to the second line framework appropriately

• Liaising with Internal Audit to make sure all three lines of defence are co-ordinated 

• Advising other teams within the Bank on regulatory reporting risk matters

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• To exceed in this role, you will need experience working within a Regulatory Reporting team, within the banking industry 

• Ideally, you will have experience and understanding of COREP, FINREP, PRA110, and Pillar 3 disclosures

• You need to be able to navigate through the applicable regulatory requirement texts and understand changes in regulation as they apply to regulatory reporting

• You must have knowledge of the general regulatory environment 

• Ability to interpret regulatory rulebooks is essential

• You must have the ability to follow data lineage through an organisation to assess how upstream processes and controls impact reports being submitted to the regulator
