Job Title: Senior Visual Designer

Location: London Wall office

Salary and Benefits package: £58, 941.00 - £65, 490.00 base salary, plus excellent benefits including a generous employer pension contribution up to 15%, a 4% flex cash pot to spend on benefits (or take as cash), 30 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays, discretionary variable annual performance bonus and private medical health cover, share schemes and access to staff discounts.

What is visual design to us?

Adds beauty, clarity, and creative consideration to LBG products, elevating the customer experience from functional to memorable. It goes beyond usability by addressing both form and function.

Visual design is the first impression consumers will have of your product-it is arguably the most important impression it'll make. Users will decide whether to trust the credibility of a site based more upon its visual cues than its actual content. Additionally, visual design is one of the strongest ties a designer can use for effectual branding.

About you

As a Senior Visual Designer you'll be working with the our teams in product features and wider Design team your designs must align with the established research, UX and Conversation Design themes to deliver a unified design approach.

The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience and be able to demonstrate an online/digital portfolio bursting with engaging and carefully thought-out design examples. Experience and a deep understanding of Visual Design and User Interface are fundamental to this role. Animation and basic coding skills are a bonus but not crucial.

The minimum essential skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:

  • You'll be able to demonstrate your ability to use layout, brand elements, typography, hierarchy, and key touch points to enhance usability, accessibility and greatly improve the user experience and the journey as a whole.
  • Ability to deliver high quality design solutions whilst encouraging / supporting fellow team members in delivering successful project outcomes.
  • Comfortable managing workflow across multiple projects.
  • Fully proficient in SketchApp, Photoshop, Illustrator and InVision.
  • You're accustomed to working for corporate clients and understand the importance of consistently adhering to style guides and brand requirements.
  • Comfortable working within an Agile working environment.
  • Able to collaborate closely with the wider team and support the creative integrity and quality of design from initial concepts to final delivery. Building working relationships with management, peers and front-end developers are important in achieving a timely quality product.
  • You're able to analyse and evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposals for complex products/services and collaborate with senior colleagues to iterate and refine these.

You'll also need to be a good communicator, curious, flexible but well organised and fantastic teammate! You'll also develop deep empathy for people, understanding their needs, aspirations, and challenges, and shares knowledge & improve design methods as an active member of our Design community.
