We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Assistant to join Collida, an innovative new team within the Willmott Dixon family of companies. The role of the Commercial Assistant is to provide professional and efficient administrative support to the Head of Procurement Collida is Willmott Dixon's integrated construction platform that empowers customers by giving them greater control over their development needs.

The Project
Within this role you will be expected to: -

* Co-ordinate, manage and administer all matters relating to Consultant, Component and Supply Chain and ensure all payments are processed efficiently and by the due date.

* Maintain Collida database of platform components - including all associated metadata - on Collida ERP system

* Ensure cash collection procedures are followed and administered in a timely and accurate manner, including preparation of weekly reports on cash lock up, 'due & overdue' invoices, valuation tracking, cash flow forecasting, cross checking cash reports and retention status.

* Liaise effectively with all other Collida Departments, LCO's and Group Finance in respect of collation and transfer of information.

* Keep accurate records in respect of contract documents, CMGDs, PCs, Bonds, Warranties and PCGs and ensure company secretary is kept fully informed where applicable. Ensure any relevant documentation has the company seal applied.

* Accurately prepare overheads and accruals where appropriate, benchmarks and objective measures.

* Accurately and timely collate and prepare staff allocation information.

* Process Manual Payment requisitions. * Keep authorised signatory list up to date.

* Raise and send authenticated receipts and invoices where appropriate.

* Check accuracy of incentive claims and ensure associated back up provided.

* Update fixed asset register on a quarterly basis.

* Collate and send monthly KPI & EWG data to finance team.

Essential and Desirable Criteria
You will need to have proven experience of the following: -

Essential

* Working in a financial / bookkeeping role, including carrying out reconciliation and control activities

* Ability to produce work to high standards of accuracy.

* Ability to understand and exercise rigorous financial and commercial control.

* Ability to check information quickly to ensure high levels of accuracy.

* Understanding of Digital Accountancy and Enterprise Resource Planning Platforms.

* Understanding of double entry book-keeping.

* Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel.

* Good communication skills in dealing with both financial and non-financial staff.

* Proactive approach to improving controls and making processes more effective and efficient.

* Working under own initiative.

* Good communication skills with internal staff and external customers.

Desirable

* Construction / commercial experience would be an advantage but is not essential

Qualifications and Memberships Academic

Essential

* Good level of education to include 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, A Levels.

Desirable

* Early stages of AAT. Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance Management or Surveying.

* Experience of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

Professional

Desirable * ACCA, AAT, RSA in bookkeeping.
