If so, we are looking for 2 Estates Services Managers to join us at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), and we’d love to hear from you.

Job description

This is a key role within DVLA’s estates services team. The role involves contract management for the hard and soft facility management services being delivered across the estate.

Your role will include to monitor and audit the services provided across DVLA estates and reporting areas of poor performance and non compliance, liaising with stakeholders and managing a quality service, ensuring service provider standards are achieving, and be able to challenge if this is not being met. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analysing data through faults raised on the system.

Working using your own initiative, self motivation and a flexible approach is also required for this diverse busy role as some evening and weekend working may be required.

You will be working onsite in our Morriston building. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence, as travel will be required to other DVLA sites (Ty-Felin, Fforestfach and Swansea Vale).
 

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating and carrying out regular monitoring/audit activities of services provided by the PFI provider and in-house service teams for DVLA buildings in accordance with the established KPI scheme and reporting areas of poor performance and non compliance
• Ensuring faults are reported via a help desk and monitor progress to ensure these are resolved within agreed SLA’s
• On a daily basis monitoring the concept system to ensure work orders raised are correctly logged in accordance with PFI descriptors and time scales
• As and when required use concept system to monitor trends and trend analysis of critical risk to the business
• Working effectively with managed service partners to ensure appropriate standards are met and escalate any issues of poor service via agreed process and actively seek to resolve
• Ensuring that services received are value for money checked. Challenging to achieve value for money through appropriate use of internal resource and proactive management of third party contractor activity
• Providing support to the line manager for accommodation management of all sites including internal moves, area relocations and rationalisation of site accommodation

About you

We are looking for someone who is a natural communicator with excellent verbal and written skills and can express themselves confidently and concisely. You will represent the Agency in a professional and clear manner, ensuring key messages are delivered to both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner and can handle challenging conversations when necessary.

Excellent organisational skills are required and you will have the ability to manage and filter workflow. You will organise and prioritise your work to maximise productivity and achieve all deadlines whilst being highly adaptable and flexible, adjusting to the requirements of the role. You can work calmly under pressure, remaining composed and showing resilience.

You will be someone who naturally enjoys working collaboratively with different business areas and likes the challenge of influencing others to achieve business outcomes. You can build rapport quickly with both internal and external stakeholders which enables you to create solid working relationships.

You will be proactive with a high attention to detail, and have the capability to work under your own initiative, taking ownership of key decisions that need to be made.
