Payroll and Accounts Assistant
Due to business growth we are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant for our office in Birstall.
Route 1 is an independent recruitment business, we are well established and supply temporary, contract and permanent staffing solutions to our clients throughout the UK.
Experience of Sage 50 and general accounts is a must for you to be successful.
This position is a critical part of our business, we aim to ensure Route 1's reputation is always to a professional level, all workers are paid on time. Attention to detail, the ability to work to deadlines and support the office with some flexibility is essential.
The main objective for this role is as below, but not limited to
Collating time sheets for workers each week
Processing payroll for all workers weekly
Liaising with Clients, workers and suppliers on a day to day basis
Reconciliation of company bank accounts
Preparing VAT Returns
Assisting and supporting Accountants
Assisting with Credit Control
Managing weekly and monthly payments
We operate Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:30, we are looking to recruit a Payroll/Accounts Assistant who is looking for stability and longevity to assist the business in growing, which could lead to the responsibility of this position organically growing. To ensure we employ the right person for the business we are interested in speaking with applicants who are looking for part time or full-time hours, or needs flexibility due to other commitments, but can primarily work in the office Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays as a minimum with the possibility of Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Dress down day with an early finish on Friday (work load permitting), free parking, no city centre traffic!
