Summary

The Internal Communications Executive is responsible for supporting Discovery EMEA’s corporate communications team with internal events, campaigns and communications for the UK and EMEA employee populations. 

We are looking for a bright, proactive individual with excellent communication skills and an interest in the media and broadcast industries. 

Responsibilities

•    Support the Internal Communications Manager with the production of creative invites and digital slides
•    Manage the running and communication of internal events such as screenings and speaker sessions, looking after technical set up and managing attendees, as well as supporting major all staff events
•    Coordinate and create regular posts for Discovery’s internal social media platform, Workplace, and act as ambassador for the platform
•    Assist in the running of CSR and charity projects with a variety of partners, including Save the Children, and assisting with Impact Day, Discovery’s annual day of volunteerism
•    Assist with Olympic employee engagement planning in the lead up to 2020 Tokyo Olympics
•    Support Discovery’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts with campaigns that engage employees 
•    Ensure internal signage in the UK office, including key art, video and poster campaigns are kept up to date
•    Act as point of contact for key employee groups and departments in the UK, supporting them with their communication requirements
•    Keep track of KPIs and measurements related to communications campaigns in the UK and EMEA
•    Perform other administrative duties as needed including processing invoices
•    Provide ad hoc support for Senior Director Communications EMEA and SVP Communications EMEA

Requirements

•    2-5 years’ experience in internal communications / corporate communications
•    A passion for the broadcast and media industries
•    Proactive, highly-organised and hard-working team player
•    Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to communicate ideas succinctly and clearly to employees at all levels
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Keen eye for design
•    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; additional design skills beneficial (Photoshop)
