Nursery Cook and Housekeeper (Part time) Northumberland, NE43 7UX

We are recruiting a traditional cook, someone who enjoys home cooking to join an Ofsted Rated Outstanding Nursery. You may have not worked as a cook before but have a general love for cooking and making delicious meals for people to enjoy. You will also be required to undertake some housekeeping duties.

Hours are 2 to 3 days a week, term time only. With extra hours available to cover holidays

Pay is GBP9.00 per hour.

You will be working in an exceptional nursery setting, located on a farm with animals, nestled in nature and spectacular Northumbrian countryside. The nursery is filled with enriching opportunities for all children to grow and blossom in stimulating surroundings. The needs of each and every child lie at the heart of our ethos and practice. The nursery is an 80-place nursery and has been in operation for 30 years. It has always been rated outstanding offering every child a more rounded, richer experience.

The successful candidate will provide nutritious and healthy meals for the children and do general housekeeping around the nursery.

No previous experience working in the food industry is required and the successful candidate will be provided with food hygiene training during the induction period and a dbs.

Be a reliable member of the team and maintaining a high attendance record.
Contribute positively to the team morale. Have a positive can-do attitude, including dedication to your quality of work.
Have a love for traditional, home cooking.Due to the rural location, but with great access by road, you will need to be a car driver, the nursery is located just off the A69 between Newcastle and Corbridge.
