What is the purpose of the role?

  • To assist and provide support to the Customer and Community Representative, and ensure compliance with sub-process Network Occupancy / Roadspace.



What will this role involve?

  • Book road space onto Network Occupancy Management System including initial clash analysis
  • Work with the planners and TSCO team to optimise roadspace and aid effective works programming
  • Populate and manage TTRO's within your area
  • Collaborative engagements with client and key stakeholders
  • Attendance at meetings with the client and Local Highway Authorities
  • Process Street Works Notices and operate Street Works systems
  • Fulfil NRSWA contractual requirements
  • Produce programmes of works for Local Highway Authority meetings
  • Log and monitor Defect Notices and Section 81 Defects Apply to Utility Companies for location of apparatus Invoice Utility Companies for defect and sample inspections charges Assist with inspections of Utility works if required



What will this role require?

  • Full driving licence
  • IT literate including spreadsheet management
  • Knowledge of Chapter 8 Traffic Management
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of NRSWA 1991 and CoPs
  • Knowledge of Network Occupancy Management Systems

Amey, a leading infrastructure, highways and public services provider, is looking for talent to join its growing team since securing the £180m, Area 12 Yorkshire and Humberside Maintenance and Response (M&R) contract by Highways England.

By taking a role at Amey, you'll be joining a team responsible for ensuring all routine and cyclic maintenance on the trunk roads and motorway network know as Area 12 which spans 1,650km of motorway, 476km of trunk road (dual), 179km of trunk road (single carriageway) and 1,963 structures.

Responsible for incident management, defect rectification and responding to severe weather, you will join a team that also oversees traffic management during incidents and the operation of the ten maintenance depots in the region.
