What is the purpose of this role?

  • To assist and provide support to the Journey Time Reliability Coordinator to ensure compliance with The Scottish Road Works Register and NRSWA on our Scottish Trunk Road Network Management Contract.



What will this role involve?

  • Coordinate and book road space onto Scottish Road Works Register
  • Work with the planners and Planned Maintenance Teams to optimise roadspace and aid effective works programming
  • Engage with Design Staff to proactive planning of works programme
  • Population of Automated Diary Facility
  • Populate and manage TTRO's within the Unit
  • Collaborative engagements with client and Operational Partners
  • Attendance at meetings with the client, Local Authorities, Operational Partners and Statutory Undertakers
  • Fulfil NRSWA contractual requirements
  • Produce programmes of works for Local Authority meetings
  • Log and monitor Defect Notices and Section 81 Defects Apply to Utility Companies for location of apparatus Invoice Utility Companies for defect and sample inspections charges Assist with inspections of Utility works if required
  • Assist the Journey Time Coordinator in processing of Skip permits, scaffold permits etc



What are we looking for?

  • Full driving licence
  • IT literate including spreadsheet management
  • Knowledge of Scottish Road Works Register
  • Knowledge of NRSWA 1991 and CoPs
  • Knowledge of Chapter 8 Traffic Management
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • You will be part of a collaborative team working to ensure all works are planned and coordinated as well as dealing with general enquiries from Statutory Undertakers and Local Authorities.
