What we do
The I&G Strategic Advisory Services (SAS) team works with government and industry on the biggest, most complex and pressing strategic, policy and programme implementation issues. Our work focuses on the fast-changing and technology-impacted areas of public spending, such as smart infrastructure and mobility, as well as transformation and investment in public services.
Practitioners will have the opportunity to advise on strategic options, business cases and operating model strategy to public sector, executive agency and corporate clients.
What you’ll be doing
- Present and refine business models and data analysis solutions through discussions with management.
- Finalise the preparation of client deliverables and identify the critical areas for debate, ensuring these remain at sufficiently strategic and value adding level.
- Actively develop own knowledge and expertise in chosen proposition(s) and sector of choice.
- Responsibility for risk identification and management within a regulated professional services environment, including taking personal responsibility for working with Risk, Contracting and appropriate governance (e.g. quality reviews).
What we are looking for
- Current UK security clearance to SC or above.
- A first class or 2.1 degree from a leading institution.
- Evidence of understanding of the centre of government (e.g. CO, IPA, HMT) and emerging network within these organisations and across relevant bodies.
- Considerable experience of leading complex strategy projects, in relevant sectors, with multi-disciplinary teams in a consulting or corporate environment (a strategy house, big 4 firm or central strategy / corporate development team of a large company).
