An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Fire Safety Team in the newly created role of Fire Safety Engagement Manager.  

In this role you will lead on and develop all fire safety activity and plans, using your liaison and influencing skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders to be the voice of our customer.

Interacting with customers for all tenures and teams across L&Q, you will manage coordinating and reacting to customer feedback, drawing out themes and opportunities to ensure actions and communications are developed and delivered in a customer-centric way. You will lead on the development of the fire safety communication and engagement plan and provide coaching and guidance to the Fire Engagement Officers to ensure successful execution and completion of the plan and targets.

You will lead on initiatives to relay fire safety legislation, technical information and best practice in user-friendly language and mediums, and you will coordinate interactions with the formal resident engagement structure to support this.

Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure fire safety management is integrated into daily business, you will ensure fire safety priorities are communicated and present. You will liaise with external stakeholders and represent Property Services where necessary i.e. relevant authorities and boards and ensure full compliance, adhering to all reporting requirements.

You must have the ability to produce relevant reports in a compliant manner as required in support of business activities and maintain all relevant records and systems. You will utilise the Zetasafe fire management system for the production and organisation of FRA's.

The ideal candidate must have a genuine concern for the resident experience, be a quick thinker, have excellent troubleshooting abilities and be able to work with dedication towards finding solutions.

To be considered for this role applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Sound, demonstrable experience and knowledge of the Fire Safety legislation and its practical application in a public facing organisation
  • Experience of planning, managing budgets and monitoring financial performance
  • Managing relevant risks and creating effective controls and measures to limit/mitigate risks
  •  Excellent written and verbal communications and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and investigatory skills
  • Experience of working at a strategic level within a customer focused capacity
  • Ability to successfully manage, coach and guide direct reports
