Defence Account Customer Landscape Architect

Location: UK Wide

The Account Customer Landscape Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the end-to-end architecture for UK Defence Client solutions/services an account. They are the focal point for ensuring technical integrity of services, strategic implementation of solutions. Working closely with the Account Enterprise Architect, Technical Engineering, and the appropriate delivery units, they ensure a coherent and consistent technical strategy is applied, providing technical direction, maintaining operational integrity & architectural governance for the Solutions/Service offerings being developed using UK Atos, Global and Partner Capabilities as agreed and appropriate and contextualised to the Defence client. He/she is one of 2 x dedicated Account Customer Landscape Architects which will attract specific sets of Technical expertise.

Main Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Responsible for solutions design, integrity & architectures being defined and deployed conform to Atos and MOD policies wherever possible. Ensure design approvals are achieved
  • Ensure viability and coherence of the specific allocated end-to-end solutions services in line with Defence Client expectations
  • Identify gaps with respect to exciting & relevant solutions & services
  • Responsible for ensuring peer review and quality control, a design authority mitigating solution/Service risks for UK Defence delivery projects and programs
  • Leverage Industry and technically specific engineering & delivery capabilities
  • Maintain awareness of developments in Atos’ technical strategy and innovation capabilities, including those from Atos UK, Global and Partners as these evolve and apply them to the specific needs of the UK Defence Account.
  • Responsible for solutions & architectures being defined and deployed conform to Atos and the Defence Client policies where appropriate

Portfolio Development

  • Account feedback – Support Account Enterprise Architect to identify aspects for further development in Industry and Horizontal portfolio, feeding back recommendations, requirements (with definitions) and customer insights, inhibitors and wishes
  • Support PoCs/PoVs/Co-development in the UK Defence Account as deemed appropriate
  • Support the Account Enterprise Architect for Industry to identify & prioritize account technology investments

People Management

  • Help attract, reskill and retain talent with Defence knowledge & expertise, digital skills and critical competencies

 Minimum Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in Architect roles in small to medium customer environments
  • Extensive UK Defence Industry experience and knowledge (including minimum of SC Clearance)
  • Experience in Architectural customer environments in one of the domains of Infrastructure, Applications or Industry knowledge
  • Required knowledge of Atos Horizontal and Industry Portfolio, architect processes tools and offering and ability to translate customer requirement into Atos services
