A job opportunity has arisen for a Reactive Maintenance Supervisor within L&Q’s South region and covering the surrounding areas.

 

The Reactive Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Team Manager and is responsible for the day to day management of a team of reactive maintenance operatives who work across a wide area and have a varied trades and skills.

High quality work and on first time fix approach, ensuring that checks are completed and KPIs are met.
You must have effective communication skills both verbal and written and will have experience of working in a building and/or housing maintenance environment.
 

You will be able to supervise and motivate a dispersed team ensuring that not only work is completed in a timely, organised and to high standard but also that budgets are maintained.

As part of supervisory duties you will be responsible for the performance management of your team, recruitment and selection and absence management.

You will be able to give advice to operatives on complexed jobs and will be able to maintain good working relationships with other stakeholders, including management, customers, planning and scheduling team, Neighbourhood teams alongside other areas of L&Q.

We expect our Supervisors to look have a good understanding of Health and Safety including knowledge of Asbestos, Fire and Hygiene.

We also expect that our Supervisors have good financial acurnen and have had experience in managing and maintaining budgets.

To be considered for this role candidates will demonstrate and have previous experience in:

·        Managing a large team within a Maintenance within Social Housing/Local Authority role

·        Clear and Concise written and verbal communication skills

·        Knowledge of trades and maintenance

·        Ability to deliver KPIs and manage budgets

·        Passion for inclusive working practices

·        Brilliant Customer Service

·        Able to be motivate others to deliver under pressure
