What is the purpose of this role?

You will be working within our Traffic Management Team who provide essential support to our Highways Delivery accounts. Your role would be to carry out a wide range of administrative tasks services to ensure the teams are delivering the vital services for our clients.

What will this role involve?

* Works as part of a team, but can also operate on a stand alone basis when required * Maintain and updates records within various management information systems * Place orders with supply chain and monitor progression on delivery and receipting * Raise purchase orders and arrange payment of invoices * Receive telephones calls and mail and distribute as appropriate * General 'team' administrative duties as and when required * Generally assist with the delivery of services to the client * File correspondence as required and keep the office systems in an orderly manner * Undertake other basic duties as part of a team * Perform investigations and analysis on large amounts of data * Report writing for senior members of management * Prepare presentations based on daily duties and activities * Role is mostly reactive with some degree of proactive decision making within the confines of the above responsibilities

What are we looking for?

* Education to GCSE level or equivalent * Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel having gained experience of these in a general administrative role * Ideally have a good understanding of Office365 apps. (sharepoint, teams, powerBI etc) * Familiar with/exposure to management systems or other similar data entry and reporting database applications * Ambitious and forward thinking * Ability to communicate clearly and confidently to colleagues and seniors * Keen attention to detail * Someone who is organised, able to manage deadlines and strives under pressure
