What is the purpose of this role?

  • Provide support to the Operational Control Room ensuring all depots are operational daily and performing to their optimum, to ensure the business complies with targets.

What does this role involve?

    1. Undertake all duties as skilled, in a reliable, flexible constructive manner.
    2. Supporting the team as required so that we deliver the contractual and implied obligations to our customers
    3. Provide a high quality of customer service by ensuring the basics are delivered on time and against requirements
    4. Understand, anticipate and deliver customer requirements.

    1. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency
  3. Safety and Operations
    1. Support a culture of safe operations which is never compromised
    2. Ensure you engage with safety initiatives to keep self and others safe and well
    3. Engage in any mandatory training as required

    3. Support the team as required to ensure success, measured by monthly performance scorecard

What are we looking for?

  • Previously worked in administration in a highways related field
  • Prioritised workloads in a busy team to achieve targets
  • Excelled in providing outstanding customer service to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Worked within a highways team or related field
  • Identified opportunities to innovate and improve the service offer of my team
  • Dealing with high priority situations over telephone to get a quick resolution
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations e.g. NRSWA, TMA, Highways Act
  • Digitally literate - Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook - desirable
  • CAD software experience - desirable
  • Decisive problem solving: Analysing problems from different perspectives and acting to resolve issues promptly
  • Adapting to change and coping with setback: Responds positively to change, looks for better ways of doing things situations. Remain calm during difficult situations
  • Persevering: Get things done and achieving results
  • Collaborative: Working with peers and colleagues to achieve objectives.
  • Communication: Communicates to stakeholders through a variety of methods with confidence, providing sound advice.
  • Conscientious: Follows rules set for their work, honouring commitments with a strong sense of ethics and responsibility
