Support Worker

Partners In Support is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to lead the life that they choose.

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, we support individuals to lead the lives that they choose and assist people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and their chosen communities. Partners In Support is not aiming to be a large organisation or work across the country, it only aspires to offer the best possible support to those people we work with within Hertfordshire.

We believe that all people with learning disabilities and / or autism should have the opportunity to have fulfilled and valued lives in their own way.  For us this means people:

To support this, Partners in Support will:

• Work in partnership with people, their families and any external support.
• Employ the best staff possible for each person, involving people and their families in the recruitment process
• Stay small and local, continuing to only work in Hertfordshire.  This provides a strong foundation for close relationships with all the people we support and their families.
• Be open and transparent, we will not be afraid to learn from others as well as sharing and role modelling best practice ourselves
• Not use agency staff to support people, promoting consistency through our own staff that we have recruited and trained

A key part of the support worker's role is to understand the person you are supporting, which will include providing practical and emotional support.   

Experience of support work is beneficial but not essential as full training and induction will be given.
