Buying forms the backbone of our business and is incredibly fast-paced. By identifying trends and understanding our on-going success stories, this team ensure what customers want is on our shelves.  
We now have an exciting opportunity in our Food & Drinks category for a Buying Assistant to join our London Head Office. 

What will you do?
As a Buying Assistant you will support the Food & Drinks trading team with the set up of new product lines, system price changes and product administration within our categories. You’ll manage and maintain our promotional offering across selected trading areas; provide accurate data insight and analysis on the range performance and contribute to the categories growth.

You’ll utilise your communication skills to work with our suppliers managing purchase orders and building strong working relationships. An analytical mindset is important to us; so you’ll use your strong Excel skills to provide sales analysis to our trading teams to support growth. We expect you to be able to create open and effective relationships with our stores, and manage your own workload.

Who we’re looking for?
To be successful in this role you will be ideally degree educated, have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build effective relationships. You’ll be able to remain calm under pressure and manage your workload in a fast paced environment.

You will be PC literate, confident with Excel and the Microsoft office package (including using Pivot Tables / V-Lookups), and will use your analytical mindset to confidently interpret and analyse data. 
This role would suit a graduate seeking their first opportunity in Buying or someone with some Retail Head Office experience looking to progress their career in a renowned and successful retail brand. Combined with being passionate, with an interest in the Food & Drinks market would be highly desirable!
