We are now looking for a Merchandising Assistant to join our talented team at our offices in Bristol on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Merchandising Manager the main purpose of the role is to assist with the merchandising of products on the Funky Pigeon website.

What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will effectively merchandise new products onto the Funky Pigeon website and re-merchandise existing categories on a weekly basis. You will do seasonal merchandising in line with major occasions and thorough testing of all changes prior to a website update. You’ll have the opportunity to assist with managing categories across the site and provide ad hoc updates to product details and categories to ensure that content is kept up to date. 

Requirements for the role:
It would be great if you had previous experience in a web merchandising role or an online retail role however this is not essential. You should be IT literate including good Excel experience and analytical problem solving skills with the ability to interpret market trends. Having an interest in online retail would be advantageous for the role but it’s more important you have strong communication skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and be an effective team player with the eagerness to learn. A Visual Merchandising qualification (or similar) would also be great for the role, but not essential.
