You will also be part of the Analytics community with a dotted line into Commercial Analytics as part of Sky's Data Team"- Group Strategic Workforce & Planning Director What you'll do:
- Shape and drive our future strategy for People Insight & Analytics for Sky, working in collaboration with DTA to align with Sky's broader data and insights strategy Develop relationships with stakeholders up to Exec level to reach a deep understanding of their business areas Work with them on analytical projects, developing hypotheses to explore and avenues of opportunity Efficiently leading and mentoring junior members of the team to deliver high quality output Use a range of techniques to shape analytics approaches, keeping up to date with the latest thinking and selecting the best technique to solve the business problem Produce reliable, actionable insights through analytics: work as a self-starter and be actively curious about what numbers are telling us and how they can be actioned upon to improve our customer plans Able to summarise and visualise findings in a commercial focused and actionable way. Candidate should be able to articulate reasons for good and bad performance in segments of our base and what improvement actions could be taken Work with colleagues across various disciplines to pull together holistic insights. Overseeing their implementation with stakeholders, supporting and advising them throughout the process Partnership working with the Data and Reporting Team in Group Shared Services to shape future reporting and transition to self-service through our core People Systems
- Experience in a data-rich environment Previous experience in advanced data manipulation in SQL/SAS/Python and/or flair for programming Hands-on experience (minimum of working knowledge) of segmentation techniques and predictive algorithms with good understanding of Insight & Decision Science methodologies, specifically strong expertise of advanced analytics techniques Advanced Excel and PowerPoint with experience of visualisation tools such as Tableau Knowledge or experience of working with Google Cloud Platforms products like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Machine Leaning or similar cloud solutions (desirable) Insight Experience: candidate must have experience in managing end-to-end analytics projects covering research/analytics/decisioning Stakeholder Management: committed to and be able to own and develop stakeholder relationships Leadership: able to coach, develop and manage a team of analysts to effectively prioritise workload, deliver outputs as a team and develop individuals Logical, end to end thinking from the outset: able to come up with an approach Enjoys task-focused delivery, a fast pace of work and overcoming challenges Commercial awareness and keen on following recent trends in the market Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and patience in a fluid environment Experience using Workday (desirable)
