Our team

As our customers think differently now, they expect us too. Join us and help make this happen. You'll work within a team that develops conversational dialogues, utterances, intents, and synonyms and regularly assesses performance at a holistic level. Join us to help resolve defects during quality assurance stage, whilst communicating lessons learnt to grow knowledge of the team. Through this work, you'll engage with other teams including the UI and back-end implementation team.

About the role

Do you have experience in mastering natural language models and applying cognitive technologies to overcome problems and create opportunities for AI across a business?

In this role you'll get to develop, our new Chatbots for the benefit of our colleagues and customers alike; mix the art of good conversation and the science of the engineering that underpins it; design and develop world-class cognitive-enabled conversation solutions using Watson Assistant and other leading AI technologies. You'll also analyse customer conversations within the Chatbot to identify patterns and improvement areas. Maybe your background is in scriptwriting, writing dialogue/conversations within the gaming industry or perhaps you've experience of crafting voice conversational interfaces? Find yourself at the very ground-breaking of what a Bank can do by combining your expertise with our wider investment in developing robot programmes and AI to deliver always-on, accessible banking.

What we need from you

You'll have the ability to guide us with your expertise with the following skills:

  • Experience developing conversation flows
  • Crafting and executing training (intents, entities, dialogue) for Bots, ideally gained within an Agile environment
  • Capturing the nuances of the English language, you'll be someone that has a logical approach and the inter-personal skills to engage and influence widely

Desirable

Any wider knowledge or experience of the following would also be helpful (but it's your conversation skills we're wanting first and foremost):

  • IBM Watson Assistant
  • Leading cognitive services (e.g., Microsoft/IBM/Google etc.)
  • Experience with Data Analytics or Semantic Data
  • Any knowledge of APIs, micro-services architecture, JS, node.js, JSON or visualisation tools or GIT and Jenkins
