Take responsibility for effective supervision of our trading team as a part of our Business Operational Risk Management (BORM) team.

Our BORM Supervision and Conduct (SuCo) team works with and challenges the business with regards to the tools, controls and framework to promote effective supervision. As a part of our commitment to strong operational risk, conduct risk and front office supervision we're looking for experienced hires to support the global team, focusing on the EMEA region.

The role within the BORM SuCo team is part of the wider Commodity and Global Markets’ (CGM) first line of defence and focuses on two primary objectives. The team is responsible for administering the CGM conduct risk program including engaging stakeholders and further embedding the related processes and reporting into the front office.   Additionally the SuCo team is responsible for the design of CGM’s supervisory framework and the design and implementation of supporting metrics, reporting and tools.

Primary responsibilities of the role will be to assist in the day-to-day operation of the CGM conduct and supervision programs including providing advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders, and assisting in the production of reporting decks, guidance materials, surveys, business requirements documentation and other program-centric materials.  You will be engaged in reviewing and reporting on the quality of the supervision program including through in-depth supervisory reviews, outreach to management and oversight of the use of supervisory tools.    

The role provides you an opportunity to work in a global cross-divisional group within CGM which includes counterparts both within SuCo as well as the BORM team more broadly and liaise with staff in New York, Houston, Asia and Sydney.

Specific knowledge of front office supervision and related rules / industry standard practice is required. Experience in front office compliance advisory is helpful. Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written)  skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders within the business are a must.  Experience or background in regulatory change implementation, requirements gathering / definition, project management, PowerBI, data analytics and excel is a positive.
