We have a fantastic opportunity within our Highways business unit for an ambitious and talented Environmental Advisor.
The Environmental Advisor will provide subject matter expertise based on knowledge and experience to give direction, ensuring the continuous improvement of environmental performance in line with relevant standards, client expectations and the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject matter
- Practitioner level member of IMEA (PIEMA), working towards chartered status
- Recognised internal auditing qualifications
- Thorough understanding of corporate strategy, values and objectives
- Thorough knowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management System and its implementation
- Demonstrable experience of a similar role
About the Highways Team:
Our projects encompass motorway widening, congestion relief, safety improvement and bypass schemes. Recent work includes M62 Smart Motorways, Lincolnshire’s new A1073 bypass, the A1 Improvement scheme from Dishforth to Barton in North Yorkshire, and the M74 Completion Project through central Glasgow, Scotland’s largest infrastructure scheme. Under Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) schemes, we engage with our customers as early as possible to maximise innovation, efficiency and cost savings.
