Strategy and Planning Manager

We are seeking an experienced Strategy and Planning Manager to play a leading role in cross-organisational planning towards achieving the charity achieving their 10-year strategy vision.

The charity’s mission is to prevent cruelty to children in the UK. They’re leading the fight against child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands and believe that every childhood is worth fighting for.

Position: Strategy & Planning Senior Manager

Salary: £34,000 plus London weighting allowance if applicable.

Location: London, flexible and home-based (You're likely to come in to the London office for between 1-3 days a week, but there's flexibility around this which can be discussed at interview)

About the role:

This is a fantastic time to join the charity and they transition to an exciting new strategy, started in April 2021 to make significant changes for children. The Strategy and Performance team works across the charity to help people understand their strategy, develop their approach to delivering the strategy and contribute to the overall success. The team does this in four main ways: planning, performance and impact, engagement and communications, and providing strategy support.

As Strategy and Planning Manager you will play a leading role in cross-organisational planning, working with teams to help them plan their contributions, what they will do, why and when. You will also lead the monitoring of plans, reviewing how well they are carried out, and the impact they are having. You will help to carry out the organisational strategy, keeping the it alive and relevant, and strengthening strategic thinking on individual projects and services.

About you:

To be successful in the role of Strategy and Planning Manager you will have knowledge and experience of organisational planning, which may include substantial projects or programmes, so you can advise and guide others in good planning practice. You will be a confident strategic thinker, able to appreciate the bigger picture and apply sound judgment to help identify highest impact options. You will have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, including forming and sustaining collaborative working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
