Events Manager - Maternity 6 months contract (but will probably be extended)

24 hours per week- 3 days a week and flexible with the days you can work

Location: Tunbridge Wells- Will be work from home but will have to travel to events predominately in Kent occasionally

Salary: GBP28,000- GBP40,000 pro rata

Role Purpose:

The Event Manager (Interim) will be part of the Group Marketing and Communications department and be responsible for managing and overseeing all group and external events to the highest possible standard at all times

Key Responsibilities:

To manage the planning, and execution of a variety of events across the Group.
Respond to event enquiries.
Gather facts and collate information in response to a brief or request, eg. search for the right location and venue for an event.
Work with the wider Marketing team to ensure all events are on brand and fit the business's needs.
Respond to requests and carry out a variety of daily and weekly tasks to assist in the planning and preparation of an event.
Gain knowledge of each of the business areas, their customers and market as a whole.
Help to identify suitable opportunities for events within the business.
Be responsible for updating budgets and relevant logs.
Manage all communication to events participants, suppliers and external agencies.
Manage all pre-event preparation and on the day provide support as required.
Be informed of the latest event best practices, new ideas and any additional tools available.
Manage any event copy writing, proof reading and print management, as required.
Data management of contacts.
Management of bookings of hotels, travel, couriers and event spaces.
Undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects within the Group Marketing team.

Workplace and working hours:

Location: flexible
Must be prepared to travel to attend events, or the office locations in the UK, as necessary.
Due to the nature of this role, there will be some instances when additional hours, overnight stays, and/or weekend work will be required
