About the team

You'll do this by helping the team understand scrum theory, practices, rules, and values and translating this into practice to work for our team. The scrum master also demonstrates their approach to facilitation, mentoring, training, and coaching at a team / squad level, and will help improve the value built by the team.

Here's how you'll make a difference:

As a Scrum master working closely with the Product Owner and the team, you'll ensure that:

  • Goals are understood by everyone in the team as well as possible and remove impediments to the team's progress, drive capability uplift in teams against strategic capabilities

  • Find techniques for effective product backlog management, that work for the team and collaborate with the Product Owner, to ensure a healthy prioritised product backlog

  • Act as facilitator of scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand ups, retrospectives etc.) through a clear understanding of the aim of each event, taking corrective measures as required

  • Helping the team to continuously improve the efficiency of their incremental delivery of value to customers & stakeholders, whilst adapting to customer & stakeholder feedback

  • Mentoring and facilitating the team in self-organisation and cross-functionality - delivering agile training and mentor in line with agreed outcomes

What we need from you:

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Scrum Master who has some pre-existing experience to support the implementation of agile ways of working within an established high performing multi-disciplined team.

We are happy to consider people from any industry background, however the minimum skills and experienced you'll need to apply:

  • Prior demonstrable experience working as a Scrum Master within an Agile environment.

  • Experience implementing Agile and Scrum techniques

  • A background working with software engineering and non-IT projects.

In terms of personal skills we look for people who enjoy carrying out the scrum master role, are good communicators and comfortable working with a range of different technical and non-technical staff.

What we'll give you in return:

We want you to experience the freedom and autonomy to realise your potential, share your ideas and make them happen and feel supported and listened to by a team that celebrates individuality and independent thought, encourages different perspectives, and embraces every background. At LBG, we're invested in your continual development. That's why we've fostered a collaborative learning environment that supports your career goals and encourages knowledge-sharing!

Sound like your ideal next workplace? If you have the right skills, we're after and playing a key role in our digital transformation appeals then we'd love to hear from you!
