Management Accountant

We have an opportunity for a Management Accountant be part of a team of three management accountants supporting the Financial Controller in delivering an informative, accurate and timely service to the organisation.

Position: Management Accountant

Location: Swindon (M4 corridor)

Hours: Full-time

Salary: £36,000 to £40,000 pa depending on experience and competitive benefits package

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will use a broad range of skills and knowledge when dealing both with the internal finance team tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations and payroll and also working with non-finance managers to review and challenge numbers and build relationships across the board.

You will also be responsible for elements of month-end and year-end preparation and we require someone who can use their drive and initiative to work both individually and as part of a team.

The organisation is currently working remotely, but you will be required to visit and work at the Swindon office as needed. You will also enjoy benefits such as flexible working, pension scheme and flexible benefits.

About You

You will be a qualified/part qualified accountant or QBE, with significant hands-on accounting experience and the ability to organise and prioritise work, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

You will:

 

  • Have good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting concepts clearly to non-accountants
  • Be technically competent at using financial systems
  • Have intermediate Excel skills and effective financial reconciliation skills
  • Be very accurate, precise and thorough in all tasks and a completer-finisher who works to high standards
  • Have a working knowledge of VAT and a desire to learn more
