Sales intern – WM People ltd.  3 months with the possibility of extension beyond this time period.

Part-time, largely homebased with frequent team meetings in London (Covid restrictions permitting). Initially 20 hours per week ideally worked across 3-5 days with potential to increase.

We are looking for a sales intern to join the team for 3 months, with a possibility of extension beyond this time period. This is an opportunity ideally suited to a graduate or undergraduate with some sales knowledge, looking to start out in a career in sales.  Initially you will be trained in the back - office systems and tools used by our sales team, and the role will have a strong focus on lead generation and providing support for the existing sales team through the provision of stats, competitor analysis and monitoring of market trends and general sales related admin activities. We would expect the role to evolve quite quickly to also include elements of business development .

This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter with a passion for sales. You will be a great communicator and will relish working as part of a team. Depending on your circumstances there is also the opportunity to grow the role to a permanent (full or part time) position.

Key objectives are to:

  • Increase WM People brand awareness
  • Generate qualified sales leads using various tools – helping to drive new business
  • Build client engagement through supporting Key Account Managers in client aftercare and administration
  • Provide sales support to the established sales team
  • Deliver internal activity reports
  • Further develop relationships with existing clients

Day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead sourcing
  • Qualifying leads
  • Speaking with new customers
  • Sales Support
  • Assistance with client set up and procurement processes
  • Competitor analysis and monitor market trends
  • Giving feedback to management
  • Participation in our sales strategy
  • Attending weekly sales meetings (currently online)
  • Joining team days when required

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a passion for sales
  • great communication skills
  • a degree-level education (preferably)
  • a desire to learn, and the ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly
  • a passion for inclusion and diversity
  • a good home office set up, with reliable internet connection
