Job Details
You will join an amazing team and be responsible for delivering high quality interior sets for all photographic projects across the studio. Communicating with stylists, photographers and creative leads you will be flexible with your approach with the ability to create sets to specific briefs to time, quality and budget.
About the Team

Our in-house studio is based in Hemel Hempstead, and has a view to move to a new purpose built studio in London in the near future. We are looking for an ambitious Set Builder with a trade skilled background to join our set build team to help produce inspirational imagery for our Next website and Social Media channels.
About the role
You will:
- Design, plan and construct set builds required for photographic shoots to brief ensuring they are safely executed and ensuring high quality workmanship
- Be responsible for the maintenance and repair of existing sets ensuring they are fit for purpose.
- Compile lists of required materials and components and identify best value to maximise budget.
- Be creative and proactive in producing and designing ideas, and adapting and manipulating materials.
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of projects and be responsible for the safety of colleagues and yourself in the workplace.
- Assist in maintaining and organising all studio tools and equipment.
- Take direction from the Creative Lead to complete projects to deadlines, inline with the critical path.
Criteria
About You
- Have experience of working in tiling, carpentry and decorating trades ideally within a photo studio, film or theatre set building environment.
- Have experience of working with creative briefs and following brand guidelines.
- Have experience of planning, estimating and ordering building and decorating materials.
- Competent in a variety of trades and working with associated tools.
- Be able to work well under pressure, have a flexible attitude and be responsive to change.
- Able to drive and willing to travel to other studio sites as and when required.
