Marketing Officer

We are looking for a creative and hands-on marketing professional to implement product marketing and communication plans.

This is an exciting and challenging role, at the heart of an agile organisation with a strong record and reputation, with the potential for real and profound change for children and young people.

Position: Product Marketing Officer

Location: Flexible as homeworking supported - office working available in London or Glasgow

Salary: £25-29k dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time

Duration: 12 months Fixed Term Contract (becoming permanent if funding allows)

Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and 5% Employer pension contribution

Closing Date: 14th July 2021

About the Role

As Product Marketing Officer you will work closely with the Product Manager to implement the marketing plans for The Boxall Profile®, which is an online assessment tool for children and young people's social, emotional and behavioural development used in educational settings. The Boxall Profile® (BPO) supports education professionals to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in their care, in order to maximise progress and minimise any negative impact that their social, emotional and mental health may have on their life.

You will be responsible for the operational delivery of the marketing and communication plans and to support the Product Manager to achieve the income target.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Product marketing, raising awareness, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Content creation, copy writing and communications planning.
  • Targeted email campaigns using segmented data.
  • Campaign analysis, carrying forward learning into the next campaign.
  • Ensure that all external communications around BPO are accurate, up to date and as clear as can be for the customer.
  • Internal communications around BPO
  • Some admin support will also be required where necessary, specifically in the set-up and onboarding of new multi-school contracts but also across the board initially

About You

To be successful in the role of Product Marketing Officer you will have hands-on experience of marketing and communications, in a rapidly changing internal and external environment.

This role is key in the marketing of a flagship product and a particular focus will be on customer acquisition. This is a super opportunity for someone to join an excellent team and take ownership in delivering the product marketing, valuing the customer experience at every stage.

Essential knowledge and experience include:

  • Excellent track record of achieving objectives through marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • A good eye for design and able to work with designers and other external agencies.
  • Experience of working with segmented datasets to achieve targeted campaigns and messages.
  • A good knowledge of Google Analytics (Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills.
  • Experience in data analysis to inform decisions.

Although not essential, experience of working with the education sector would be an advantage, as would experience in digital project delivery.

Applicants are asked to provide a current CV and 2-page covering letter outlining evidence against the essential criteria in the job description, clearly identifying the skills and experiences applicable to the role.

In Return…

Work for an organisation with excellent work life balance policies, where flexible working is promoted and the culture of the organisation is to nurture staff through effective leadership and excellent team working.
