<p>This is a great opportunity to join the Green Investment Group’s newly formed Offshore Wind Development business as Banking and Payments Controller, and help support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.&nbsp;</p> <p>Green Investment Group’s global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 15+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors. In this newly created role, you will form part of the Finance team based in London.</p> <p>You will support the Finance Team in ensuring Green Investment Group’s standards of financial control and operational risk requirements are incorporated into all projects.</p> <p>You will be responsible for evaluating, negotiating and implementing new banking relationships and then managing the relationship with those banking partners including the opening and general management of bank accounts for new projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;This role will also involve the shaping of a new accounts payable system and associated procedures, ensuring that appropriate payment controls, interfaces and reporting are in place.</p> <p>You will take ownership of all payments including drawdowns, accounts payable, payroll and employee expenses, ensuring appropriate standards of financial governance, control and record keeping are in place across all aspects of these processes. You will also provide the necessary reporting to both internal and external stakeholders as required.</p> <p>You will be a senior banking and cash management professional having worked with multiple online banking portals with experience of negotiating banking services.&nbsp; Coupled with operational accounts payable experience, you will also have a solid background in financial control and reporting disciplines.&nbsp; You will have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a small team to implement and drive improvements in controls, processes and reporting and deliver excellent service to a demanding customer base, so strong stakeholder management skills are key.</p> <p>Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment, driving process improvements is crucial to success in this role.</p> <p>In addition, experience of implementing accounts payable systems, foreign language skills and experience of working in the renewables industry would be desirable.</p> <p><strong>About Macquarie Capital</strong></p> <p>Macquarie Capital offers global capability in M&amp;A Advisory, Debt and Equity Capital Markets, Principal Finance, and Equity Trading and Research underpinned by deep specialist expertise across a range of sectors.
