Job Details

Nest is the National Employment Savings Trust. It was set up by the government to give every worker in the UK somewhere to save for retirement. We’ve since grown to become one of the UK’s largest schemes

Your new team:

As an organisation Nest has a unique status within UK financial services: supported by a government loan, the scheme was set up to address a market failure and ensure all employers automatically enrolling their employees into a pension scheme had a quality, low cost scheme available to them.

The scheme is now operating in the market at scale, and that brings with it a series of new challenges and opportunities: how can we evolve the business to best serve our membership, taking into account the obligations placed on the scheme due to the nature of our funding arrangements with government?

The Nest Experience (NX) directorate was established in October 2020 and merged previously discrete directorates as part of continuing evolution to best meet the needs of our customers. The new directorate brought together the Customer Engagement, Service Delivery and a programme team that been running a re-procurement of our scheme administration contract.

Your new role:

The employer & intermediary experience (ERIX) team has responsibility for the end to end experience of our employers and intermediaries.

The business development manager is accountable for the relationship management of EBCs, the maintenance of channel plan, the effectiveness of the bid management process and securing new large employers into the Nest Scheme.

Supporting the National Business Development Manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of the EBC strategy, completing requests for proposal and managing the bid process and securing new large valuable employers into the Nest scheme.

What you’ll need to succeed:

You’ll be achieving the acquisition objectives set by the director of employer & intermediary experience including work with the strategic account management team to ensure smooth on-boarding process, on-going support and governance.

This exciting role is market facing and the successful candidate would ideally already have credibility in the corporate pension marketplace and be able to forge excellent internal and external relationships.

What you’ll get in return

Base salary up to £60,000 plus benefits on a 1-year FTC.

We welcome part time applicants and job share applicants

Everyone wants a good work life balance and you will be working with a truly flexible employer, fully embracing a working from home culture and flexible working hours.

You will have your birthday and Christmas Eve as an additional bonus to the already fantastic holiday allowance and of course…a generous pension contribution.

What you need to do now:

Please complete your application on our website and attach a CV & cover letter.

We will not be able to respond to all applicants due to a high number of applicants at this current time.

Nest is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applicants from all the nine protected characteristics.

As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we guarantee to interview disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.

Please note that we can onboard and work remotely successfully during this period at Nest.

Please note that this is a homebased role with travel required occasionally to various clients and our London based office.

Company

NEST is a great UK success story.

Established in 2010, NEST is a critical pillar of the Government’s automatic enrolment programme, with a public service obligation (PSO) to accept any employer wishing to use the scheme to discharge their automatic enrolment duties.   From a standing start, we have delivered a high quality, low cost pension scheme open to all, which has not only delivered on its mission, but has also helped to drive up standards and best practice across the industry. Now with over 6 million members and well over half a million participating employers, NEST is playing a critical role in helping people save for their retirement - many of them low to moderate earners who may be saving for the first time, and moving jobs frequently.   NEST now occupies an important place in the pensions market and will deliver high quality pensions to mass market consumers for many years to come, leveraging its scale to deliver value through the combination of low costs, market leading investment solutions and modernised services all overseen by strong Trustee governance.
