Overview

The role of the Finance Manager is one of our most important roles at our Hive Quarters, not only ensuring that the wheels of finance keep turning with the usual operational tasks, but a key part in making sure Hiver is successful. With an overview of stock, preparation of management accounts and strong cashflow management, this role touches all parts of the business and requires a desire to work at multiple levels to deliver a wholistic finance solution. This job provides a fantastic opportunity for progression or for an experienced professional to enjoy flexible working. 

Key tasks

• Purchase ledger
• Payments
• Payroll
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Expenses processing
• Credit control
• Point of contact for finance queries via phone and email
• Recording of some ad hoc sales onto our sales and stock system Dear
• Posting commissions and fees deducted at point of sale
• Preparation of management accounts at channel level with basic commentary for review by the Finance Director

• Maintaining the fixed asset register and recording depreciation
• Stock reconciliations including GRNI and goods in transit
• Cashflow management including detailed forecasting

Knowledge & Experience

• Xero – essential
• Dear – desirable
• Excel – advanced is desirable
• Microsoft office – a decent knowledge of email, teams, one note etc is desirable
• Qualified/qualified by experience is essential
• A background in retail and stock is preferred
