Senior Corporate Tax Manager – Flexible & Part-Time
Location: Manchester
Competitive salary & extensive benefits
What we do
KPMG's Tax practice is a dynamic, successful and growing area of our business. A constantly changing and increasingly high-profile field, Tax can offer a surprisingly broad range of quality career paths to ambitious people.
The Regional Financial Services Tax team provides tax advice, compliance and audit support work to a wide range of banking, lending, wealth management, mutual, fintech and other financial services clients. The majority of our client portfolio relates to challenger banking and lending organisations but being a regional team we do have clients across the financial services spectrum.
What you’ll be doing
- Understanding the client's business and proactively identifying areas for the sell-on of additional tax and other services.
- Coaching and mentoring more junior team members, including the opportunity to undertake performance management responsibilities if desired.
- Carrying out detailed technical research to support particular projects or queries.
- Ensuring that client work is managed and delivered effectively, maintaining good financial discipline.
What we are looking for
- CTA and/or ACA/CA and/or equivalent legal/HMRC/international qualification is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills.
- UK corporate tax knowledge and experience is essential plus an awareness of broader tax, and accounting areas. Ideally the candidate would have knowledge/experience of financial services however that is not essential and training on financial services specific areas can be given as needed.
- Ability to lead and drive projects forward, meeting deadlines and managing the financial impacts.
