Summary of role

To support and assist the continuous development of the Next plc global CR strategy and to maintain/improve the compliance of Next plc supply chain sources. This will involve identifying where issues exist, making decisions and reporting on the improvements required and managing such action plans to achieve the required standards.

Responsibilities:

Auditing

Ensuring that the new supplier onboarding/induction process is followed

Processing New Site Requests (NSR) and factory self-assessments for inclusion in audit planning

Complete a risk analysis prior to auditing, based on factory self-assessment

Scheduling audits as per COP team audit plan

Planning and organising of new and follow up audits in designated region, coordinated with global team as needed

Carry out COP audits in line with COP Principle Standards and Auditing Standards, produce audit reports and distribute to relevant parties

Ensuring that critical issues are clearly identified and communicated to the relevant supplier

Maintaining the SCOP system with site and audit information

COP Process

Plan and lead Product Team meetings covering a range of issues such as factory lists, compliance performance, remediation plans, global supply chain issues

Plan and lead Product Division Director and Manager meetings

Review of COP auditing standards and processes for continuous improvement

Supporting suppliers/factories/product teams/global COP team with management of corrective action plans

Build and maintain supplier relationships

Management of ‘Cat 6’ rated factories for your designated division; liaising with relevant product teams and global COP team colleagues to ensure appropriate action is taken and internal records are maintained.

Completion of departmental admin support tasks e.g. supplier access to COP pages of extranet and tracking of contracts to confirm factory information is provided by suppliers

Participation in relevant project work which supports the company ethical / corporate responsibility approach

Developing and leading Responsible Business Training for product team trainees

Reports

Analysis of contract assigning reports to track suppliers who are not providing accurate supply chain information. Liaise with suppliers who have not assigned factories to contracts according to business requirements

Effective use of product chain code reports for product team and divisional manager meetings

Attend and contribute relevant updates to COP UK team meetings, ensuring awareness of current issues, activities and progress

Analysis of divisional data from monthly COP matrix report to identify areas for improvement

Criteria

Demonstrate passion and interest for ethical trading, as well as an understanding of broader global supply chain issues

Have a good understanding and appreciation for compliance processes and practices

Able to travel throughout UK and overseas

Strong communication skills

Effective organisational skills

Ability to adapt and prioritise a challenging workload

A natural problem solver

Experience of visiting factories and engaging with suppliers

Criteria
