Position: Fundraising Officer

Location: Wiltshire/Dorset (flexible home/office base, with 3-4 days per month at the Trowbridge or Salisbury Office)

Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary: Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)

Benefits: 28 days’ holiday in addition to bank holidays, 5% employer contribution to pension, free annual eye tests.

The Role

The Fundraising Officer will be a member of a dynamic team of committed and passionate individuals working together to raise the profile of carers and support the work of the organisation in Wiltshire and Dorset. 

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Fundraising Officer will work along-side another fundraiser and the Communications and Digital team.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with colleagues across the charity to understand funding needs
  • Work with Finance team to develop robust project budgets
  • Support existing Fundraising activities, including researching, planning, and reporting and seeing through to completion.
  • Supporting operational staff to undertake monitoring and evaluation of funded projects
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities

About You

You may have previous fundraising experience, or you could be looking to move to the charity sector for a more rewarding role. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and research skills, be very organised and able to work to deadlines and meet targets. As Fundraising Officer, you will be able to develop relationships with existing and potential supporters.
