The main responsibilities for this role is the ownership and management of new business opportunities, supporting the Business Development team in production and sign off new business development and ownership of Occupation Costs in the business.

What you'll be doing:

 

  • Working with Business Development in production of full P&L/ Business Case for new development to be presented for sign off at board level.
  • Delivery of new business budgeting / forecasting and 3 year plans to business timelines 
  • Overall responsibility for the accurate reporting of Occupation costs for the Travel Business, managing the Senior Occupation Costs Accountant and Rent Accountant who report into this role. 
  • Timely communication of risks and opportunities to financial targets concerning new business activity and Occupation Costs.
  • Support business development team with Strategic decisions on Commercial offers and day to day rent and contract enquiries.
  • Supporting Line Manager with other adhoc requests and analysis. 

  
What we are looking for:

  • Qualified accountant – CIMA or ACCA 
  • Planning / budgeting experience  
  • The ability to work with senior financial and non financial managers  
  • Able to communicate effectively with other areas of the organisation  
  • Self-managing, capable of planning and prioritising a broad and extensive range of activities  
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring financial data is summarised in a logical and informative manner, appropriate to the given audience.  
  • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands  
  • Advanced Excel skills
