Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Projects Programme Manager to join our team. The MCA has a large and varied estates portfolio with circa 450 sites across the whole of mainland UK and its islands. This role will cover actual and potential project work at all of them. Developing and managing a programme of project works, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the project programme including budgetary control, tender preparation and evaluation, contractor appointment, works control and commissioning acceptance. Ensuring that performance delivery and drive efficiencies are optimised. You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the MCA Estates strategy which will include both the creation of new sites and development of existing ones.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Project Programme Management
o Manage forward project register (10, 5, 3 and 1 year)
o Manage project scope identification
o Liaison with key stakeholders and landlords

• Project Delivery
o Identify options and opportunities for improvements
o Maintain professional and technical partnerships with contractors and other stakeholders.
o Develop, review and manage project budgets.

• Statutory Health and Safety Compliance
o Ensure health and safety management is maintained on all projects within all buildings within area of responsibility
o Work in partnership with MCA stakeholders and the contractor to resolve any issues arising from audits or complaints

• Leadership and Line Management
o Direct line management of two project co-ordinator/administrations
o Provide leadership and technical advice/guidance to projects team and wider Estates functions

In order to meet the requirements for the role you will need to possess the following qualifications;

- Professional Qualification (HND or above) in either Construction Management, Building Services or Facilities Management
- IOSH and/or associated H&S Qualifications
- Relevant professional membership

Qualifications

Professional qualifications (HND or above) in either Construction Management or Building Services or Facilities
Management.
IOSH and / or associated H&S qualification.

Association of Project Management or Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers or Institute of Workplace &
Facilities Management)
