Join our Green Investment Group as a highly motivated Contract Delivery Manager to help the Group support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. This is a London-based role, but with the option to be based in another location with frequent travel to London, you will work in the Asset Creation and Management team closely supporting the Energy Technology team. You will have responsibility for managing technical and contracting workstreams on European electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and other EV opportunities that arise.

As a pivotal member of the team, your role is to be one of Green Investment Group’s technical and contracting experts providing technical input on EV projects, tenders and investment proposals; including taking the lead in arranging construction and operational contracts for EV based projects.

In your role as a Contract Delivery Manager, you will interface with wider internal teams, partners, suppliers and consultancies and will be expected to be an ambassador for the business during any external engagement. You’ll be responsible for the contractual sign-off for the various technical inputs for different Projects you support. You will provide contractual and commercial advice on the deal structure and documentary controls.

Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and negotiating contracts to support new partnerships, identifying and mitigating projects risks as part of the project investment case, managing some short tender processes and finalising contracts where required (EPC, O&M, asset management and construction management). In addition to this, you will also be managing contracts once signed, including the EPC, construction management and customer contracts whilst setting up governance and operating structures to manage contracts in operation, resolving disputes and being an escalation point during the O&M phase.

This role will see you optimising contract outcomes through finalising of contracts with and management of our supply partners and our customers and close liaison with the deal team and technical team.  You will provide ongoing contractual management to assets during construction (including managing third party providers for commercial, technical reports and due diligence). During the construction phase, you will be liaising with construction and asset management providers to ensure successful delivery of the projects, managing any claims and variations, contractual disputes, monthly reporting and contractual / project interfaces.

For success in this role, you will have significant experience of 8 + years of working in a related field including contract management experience in management of specifications, tender management, EPC and O&M management. Experience in EV is desired however, experience in solar, behind the meter electrical installations, battery storage, EPC contracting, M&E or other related fields are also welcome. You will also possess prior experience in the management of contracts and have demonstrable understanding of EV technology, a successful track record leading and managing complex projects, including working alongside JV partners in multiple countries and other stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Lastly, you’ll have experience with contract, commercial and technical risk management, excellent networking and communication skills, and strong analytical, report writing and presentation skills.

Ideally, you will have experience working in European markets such as the Benelux region, and associated language skills are highly regarded.
