Come and join Macquarie Asset Management as a Risk Manager for our Private Market Risk team where you will have the opportunity to apply your risk skills and experience to play a key role in implementing and further development of our risk strategy.

Our Risk team supports the business in providing risk guidance on transactions, new products and opportunities and implementing a strong risk management framework, including assessing that critical controls of the business are designed and operating effectively.

You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Private Credit and Asset Finance business, Macquarie’s central Risk Management Group and other specialist areas of Macquarie to reinforce a culture of risk management. You will be a key member of the team providing support to the Head of non-Financial risk on a range of risk framework activities and projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have a continuous improvement mindset and be comfortable interpreting and balancing commercial issues within a risk framework and have recent relevant experience for example in Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit, Risk management, Operations or ESG.  

You will be an analytical/lateral thinker and confident communicator, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships within the business, as well as having the ability to initiate and lead conversations regarding anticipated and emerging issues. An important part of the role will consist of leading control assurance reviews, projects and other related framework activities, partnering with the business to help design effective controls and improving processes to effectively and efficiently monitor the risk management framework.  

Your strong attention to detail, systems thinking, the ability to multi-task and work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team will be essential in this position.  Knowledge of data analysis, models and VBA an advantage.
