Business development - New business - Internal sales - Part Time

Employer

Location

Salary
£12.50 per hour
Closing date

We have an interesting new flexible role at RecWorks. We are looking for a business development person to act as a front end sales person for both our clients as well as work on internal accounts. The work can largely be done at your own pace, you can choose your own hours (with exceptions for diarised calls) and without micromanagement, unrealistic targets or KPIs.

The role would largely involve making initial approaches to warm leads via personalised emails and following up with emails in an attempt to win meetings and initial introductions. Our clients would typically be in the Tech/SaaS space, examples may include tech training companies, tech security companies and similar.

You would not need to have any experience working in tech and would be given the necessary training depending on the client you were working with. You would not be given strict KPI’s to work to and would be able to complete your work largely on your own schedule. You would not be expected to provide your own leads, this work would be done for you and most of the work will involve working with relatively warm leads and companies with an existing link to us.

A typical project may see you given a list of 20-50 names and companies, potentially people that are within our network or have attended an event. You would be expected to approach each person on the list personally over email to introduce a new product or concept, if there is any interest then have an initial phone or zoom call to offer more information and see if the client is open to an introduction to our client.

You must be personable in nature, a kind-hearted, honest and friendly person. You should be a natural relationship builder, you must be confident in your ability to speak to people at any level and have experience in persuasion and winning people around to your way of thinking. We believe the role would suit someone from a sales background, recruitment background or account management. This job is more about opening opportunities up than closing them, though a little experience in closing deals would be useful.

You must have strong written communication skills as well, able to write a friendly, personal business development email without needing assistance. Though you will not be expected to create sales collateral, you will be expected to communicate with your clients in written form.
