About the job

The FSA is a non-ministerial department of over 1300 people, with a big vision – to drive change in the food system so that it delivers “food we can trust”. Our primary goal is to continue to protect public health and consumers’ wider interest in food. As we have now exited the EU the FSA faces a significant period of change and activity.

Job description

With a relatively small Agency like ours comes strengths and weaknesses. We are fast to respond, and the work of one person can go a long way. But equally, our remit is gigantic, and in order to ensure that the FSA is capable of delivering the best possible outcomes for all, it is vital that our staff are fully supported so that they can do their best work unhindered.

The People and Organisational Change (POC) division is dedicated to precisely this: looking after the FSA’s staff, and equipping them with everything they need to do their jobs to the best of their abilities. There is an opening to join the POC team as a Learning Development and Talent Partner, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to develop capability across the FSA through their work with a broad spectrum of colleagues.

Representing a culture of continuous and holistic learning, the post holder will help colleagues in defined areas of the Agency to identify and coordinate learning and development opportunities for individuals and teams alike.

This role will involve plenty of relationship building with colleagues both in the Agency and across other government departments, as well as partners at external training providers. The post holder will be an influential communicator who can be a strong advocate for the benefits these learning opportunities provide.

If you are passionate about helping others develop professionally through learning and can work closely and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, apply today for this exciting position.
