Operations Assistant

We are recruiting an Operations Assistant to work closely with members of the Systems Engagement team, with a particular focus on administrative duties to assist with the efficient running of research awards activities.

Position: Operations Assistant

Location: Homebased, U.K nationwide

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: Salary circa £22,500 per annum (inner London weighting £3,299 per annum or outer London weighting £1,755 per annum may also be applied in accordance to where you live)

Contract: Permanent

The Role

The Operations Assistant will assist with administration of research award applications, peer review process and deliver the logistics associated with funding panel meetings. You will work with the Research Manager to ensure the appropriate day to day administration of on-going funded awards. You will also assist with the efficient running of the wider Systems Engagement team, helping with meeting arrangements and note-taking, and keeping the relevant pages on the Associations website up to date.

You will also provide support across Policy and Influencing team activity, including campaigns, policy development and political engagement. This includes managing the databases, undertaking and sharing research on key stakeholders, and providing administrative for influencing events and campaign launches.

About You

As Operations Assistant you will have experience of:

 

  • Creating a variety of electronic documents, including letters, reports and presentation materials
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining effective administrative systems
  • Databases and online management systems
  • Gathering data from a wide range of sources
  • Drafting letters and proof reading
  • Research awards adjudication process and management
  • Working in a research or healthcare environment
